Green-Glass Step-Petty

$775.00

Here is an exceedingly useful knife in a configuration you may not see anywhere-else. I began playing with the step in the spine of the blade early-on with some santoku models as a way to address sight-line and tip control……fast forward a number of years and it became more of a design element.

This sweet knife is created out of RWL-34 Swedish Stainless Steel that is a very clean and fine-grained steel with excellent performance characteristics. In a full tang build with some beautiful and somewhat mysterious (meaning I have no idea who made it;) Green-Glass Micarta with unique Moe Acrylic inlay and peened stainless pins, it is a total heirloom creation built to last generations.

The Blade is 5” to the front of the handle and exhibits just shy of 5.25” of cutting edge, convex blade geometry and nice distal-taper

Overall Length is 9 & 7/8” with a blade height at the heel of 1 & 3/8”

This knife would be perfect for daily use as a petty/utility knife, look stunning in the creation-of and service of charcuterie and cheese services, be a sweet apartment or travel knife….etc…..

This knife comes with one of my Trademark Fabric Covered Saya. I am retiring out of making these for every knife I create, so here is what will be a very rare opportunity to get a knife with a fabric saya, and a beautiful one at that; featuring some really cool Japanese fabric of apples and pears.

This knife comes with my certificate and care instructions and in Saya and zippered pouch.
