Medium Tribal Kiritsuke in 52100

620.00

This is a variation on the Kirituke Chef. Created here with my Tribal Handle build and with a bit more belly making it a fantastic daily driver in just about any kitchen.

This is a new handle color combination for me, the Bacote with light colored 2mm rosin-impregnated woven cotton line and antique ivory Micarta inlay. These light accents when paired with the warm carmel-colored-body and contrasting dark stripes of the Bacote is very handsome.

The blade is created out of 52100 carbon steel using the stock reduction method.

The blade features a fine hand sanded satin finish. The Rockwell Hardness is 59-60, making it a very easy knife to both hone and resharpen. It will have a long lasting edge, and get razor sharp!

The blade has a very keen convex geometry with a wonderful distal taper with a strong and nimble tip for fine detail work. The blade also features rounded & polished spine, choil (area just before your fingers) and nice satin finish.

Overall…a very comfortable knife with a nice amount of knuckle clearance.

OAL on this knife is 12 & 3/16”

The blade exhibits 6 & 3/8”” of cutting-edge and is 6.75” to the front of the handle.

Blade width is 1 & 5/8"”

As with all California Custom Knives , each knife comes with it's own custom trademark Slip Sheath and makers certificate and care instructions.
