This is my version of the Japanese Utility/Self-Defense Knife called a Kwaiken or Kaiken. There are many variations on this style knife being made today by makers all over the world. My version features a handle-style I use on some of my Puukko knives that is safe and comfortable. Here is a definition of this style knife from Wikipedia
Here seen with a beautifully forged-to-shape 1095 carbon tool steel blade with striking hamon. It is dressed in some very rare and seldom seen Westinghouse burgundy and ivory-stripe Micarta, with Antique Ivory paper micarta bolster-laminate and pommel.
OAL is 9.75" and the Blade is 4.75"
This knife feels excellent in the hand and would be a great companion on any trip, can be used as a utility knife and is keen enough for food prep at the camp as well.
As with all California Custom Knives , this one comes with one it's own custom trademark Slip Sheath and makers Certificate.
